The transition from hybrid work to our new studio, marks not just making of a new working space, but a manifestation of our core philosophy, ‘The Feeling of One.’ Every inch of the studio is a culmination of this collective ethos. From debating over the perfect shade of paint, to passionately arguing about which chair is ergonomic at max, we are deeply engaged in every facet of the process. We wanted a place where design meets function, where creativity knows no bounds, and where each element harmonizes to create our dream workspace. Who knew we had hidden architectural talents tucked away under our designer hats? The process has been exhilarating, overwhelming and way too emotional for us. And it’s finally time to share it with the world! Well, here’s a BTS of the BTS..
Understanding the industry
In our vision to build a space that mirrors our ethos, we quickly recognized that conventional contractors lack the understanding of utility and aesthetics of a workspace. Their focus typically remains on construction, not function or design. Being a design company, how could have we overlooked that? This led us to bring a spatial design studio on board, attuned to the principles of human-centered design. After extensive sessions on renders and layouts, each element was thought out to create a harmonized working environment.
Building a concrete foundation
Flooring is often an overlooked element, considered for its functionality rather than its capability to convey. Our decision to implement a single, seamless micro-concrete floor serves multiple purposes beyond mere aesthetics or utility. The unbroken continuity acts as a physical grounding force for cohesion among teams. It eliminates the distractions of breaks, lines, or divisions, allowing everyone who walks into the studio to subconsciously experience ‘The Feeling of One,’ right from the ground up.
A welcoming feeling, not just a waiting room
We made a conscious decision to diverge from the cold, stoic corporate reception and create a space that feels warm and welcoming at the first go. Hence, what we designed is not just a typical reception, but a serene entrance lounge, brightened by sunlight. Plants add a touch of liveliness, creating an inviting atmosphere from the moment one steps in. The ceiling is a show-stopper adorned with our signature ‘Onething Red’ color right at the entrance. This vibrant splash is a constant reminder of Onething’s energy and dynamism. Balancing this vivid hue, our logo is intricately engraved at the entrance wall in shades of grey. The subdued color palette complements the red, offering a soothing look and feel. This space sets the emotional and psychological tone for every interaction and collaboration that unfolds within our walls.
So that ideas can take shape
The best ideas often come from bouncing thoughts off one another, not all eureka moments are solitary. That’s also the core reason why this space came into being; to make room for collaboration, and yeah, a little bit of madness too. We’ve got booths and sit-out areas where folks can huddle up and get those creative juices flowing. Whether it’s a quick chat about a project or a full-blown brainstorming session, these cozy nooks make teaming up feel natural and fun. They’re designed to be inviting, ensuring there are limited distractions. Because great ideas shouldn’t be boxed in—they should have room to grow and soar.
Wellness: A prerequisite, not an afterthought
We honestly don’t think that productivity lives and dies at a desk. Our layout nudges people to get up, stretch, and move around, integrating wellness as an effortless part of their day. And when they do sit, they’ll be settling into some of the most ergonomically designed chairs that make those long working sessions a lot easier on the back. And when standing up is the kickstart your creativity needs, there are standing desks that allow people ignite fresh perspectives. So whether someone is collaborating on the move or deeply engrossed in a task at their desk, our space is designed to adapt to humans, not the other way around.
The Feeling of One
When we say ‘The Feeling of One,’ we mean we’re all in this together—connected by One purpose and a shared sense of belonging. And it’s this togetherness that makes us not just a professional team, but a tribe moving towards the same goal. Our studio is both an intimate space for us and an open invitation to clients, partners, and even competitors: to experience our new abode. Welcome to our new home, a space where every detail speaks, every corner inspires, and every moment is a step towards shaping the future of design.
