The Collaboration

Centre for Budget and Policy Studies (CBPS) is a research institution established in Bengaluru, India, in February 1998. They reached out to team Onething to rethink the website but also acts as a repository to years of journals and research papers. We worked on branding to setup visual aesthetics for the brand to connect it to rural India and created a functional website on Wordpress to allow SEO and easy content management.

Unique Sections

Feature unique sections to highlight the organisation’s work and focus areas, while providing multiple entry points for users to easily explore content and enhance discoverability.

Visual Journey

We built a more enhanced journey featuring visual cues to capture the attention of the users, without overwhelming them with excess information.

Hierarchy Overhaul

We adopted a flat hierarchy system in CBPS' website, to improve discoverability and make content easier to scan, a key to analysing research reports.

Accessible-First Design

In the redesign we provided open-source tools to enhance inclusivity and accessibility for a diverse range of users which may be accessing the site.
